  • The AccuBlue (formerly MagicBlue) Broad Range dsDNA Quantitation Kit offers ultra-sensitive and selective detection of purified dsDNA samples with minimal effects from common contaminants. The kit provides a linear detection range from 2 - 2000 ng with sufficient reagents to perform 1000 assays based on a 96-well microplate format. The kit includes AccuBlue Broad Range Quantitation Solution components and a set of 9 pre-diluted calf thymus dsDNA standards. AccuBlue Broad Range Quantitation Solution also is available separately (cat. no. 31009) for customers who wish to use their own DNA standards.

    The AccuBlue Broad Range assay is superior to the Quant-iT Broad Range dsDNA and other detection kits by having a similar sensitivity but with more convenience and improved dynamic range. AccuBlue can be conveniently stored at 4C, unlike the Quant-iT reagents, which must be aliquoted for storage to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

    The kit is compatible with fluorescence microplate readers and spectrofluorometers (Ex/Em 350/460 nm). Biotium's AccuLite 350 Mini Fluorometer (cat. no. E90000) includes a program for use with the AccuBlue Broad Range assay.
