Amine-Reactive Dyes

Succinimidyl esters (SE, also known as NHS esters) react with primary amines such as lysine residues in proteins. SE dyes are commonly used for labeling proteins and antibodies. The reaction requires basic pH for target amines to be reactive, and is usually performed in pH 8.3 sodium bicarbonate buffer.

We offer more than 25 colors of our bright and photostable CF® Dye SE and easy-to-use CF® Dye Labeling Kits, as well as a wide variety of other amine-reactive dyes and biotinylation reagents below. Biotium’s CF® Dye SE are more resistant to hydrolysis than other SE, resulting in excellent reaction efficiency.
