For certain experimental questions, long-term visualization of cell boundaries is essential. It can allow the study of dynamic cellular processes in both two- and three-dimensional in vitro model systems, including conventional cell cultures and complex organoids. However, many membrane stains are cytotoxic, rapidly internalized, or diluted over time, limiting their utility for longitudinal imaging experiments. The CellBrite® Steady Membrane Stains were developed to address these challenges by providing sustained membrane-associated fluorescence over multiple days.

Here, we've summarized key findings from published studies that demonstrate the use of CellBrite® Steady Stains for extended cell surface labeling in cell culture and organoid-based research applications.
