SynaptoRed™ C2 (Equivalent to FM®4-64)
70021, - 70027View allHide
A widely used red fluorescent dye for following synaptic activity by staining synaptic vesicles at the synapse or neuromuscular junctions. When used in combination with the green fluorescent dye SynaptoGreen™ (70020), synapses or neuromuscular junctions can be imaged independently in two colors. SynaptoRed™ has also been used to study endocytosis in Dictyostelia.
Biotin-XX-α-Bungarotoxin
A high affinity inhibitor of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor in the neuromuscular junction. Blocks acetylcholine activity at the postsynaptic membrane. The biotin conjugate can be subsequently labeled with anti-biotin antibodies, avidin, or streptavidin for signal amplification.
α-Bungarotoxin
A high affinity inhibitor of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor in the neuromuscular junction. Blocks acetylcholine activity at the postsynaptic membrane.
Nerve Terminal Staining Kits
70030, 70031, 70031-1, 70032, - 70034View allHide
Nerve Terminal Staining Kits contain Biotium’s nerve terminal dyes and accessories for washing away or quenching extracellular dye fluorescence.
Tetrodotoxin
00060, - 00061View allHide
This toxin reversibly blocks the sodium channels of neurons and has been a widely used tool for mechanistic studies of neurons, skeletal muscle, and cardiac muscle cells.
