A widely used red fluorescent dye for following synaptic activity by staining synaptic vesicles at the synapse or neuromuscular junctions. When used in combination with the green fluorescent dye SynaptoGreen™ (70020), synapses or neuromuscular junctions can be imaged independently in two colors. SynaptoRed™ has also been used to study endocytosis in Dictyostelia.
SynaptoRed™ C2M (Equivalent to FM®5-95)
70019, - 70028View allHide
SynaptoRed™ C2M is a red fluorescent probe used to follow synaptic vesicles.
Datura Stramonium Lectin (DSL) Conjugates
29131, 29096, 29097, 29098, 29099, 29100, - 29101View allHide
DSL binds to (beta-1,4) linked N-acetylglucosamine oligomers, preferring chitobiose or chitotriose over single N-acetylglucosamine residues. Biotium offers DSL conjugated to biotin and a selection of 6 bright and photostable CF® Dyes.
Lycopersicon Esculentum (Tomato) Lectin (LEL, TL) Conjugates

Tomato lectin (LEL, TL) CF® Dye conjugates that bind to [GlcNAc] 1,3-N-acetylglucosamine, glycophorin, and Tamm-Horsfall glycoprotein. LEL, TL is a commonly used marker for blood vessels and microglial cells in rodent and neuroscience research. Biotium offers tomato lectin conjugated to biotin and a selection of 6 bright and photostable CF® Dyes.
Phaseolus Vulgaris Leucoagglutinin (PHA-L) Conjugates
29134, 29114, 29115, 29116, 29117, 29118, - 29119View allHide
PHA-L triggers lymphocyte agglutination and is available conjugated to biotin and a selection of 6 bright and photostable CF® Dyes.
Ulex Europaeus Agglutinin I (UEA I) Conjugates
29133, 29108, 29109, 29110, 29111, 29112, - 29113View allHide
UEA I binds to glycoproteins and glycolipids containing α-linked fucose residues, such as ABO blood group glycoconjugates. The lectin is an established marker for human endothelial cells and has been used to differentiate between angiosarcomas and epithelial tumors. Biotium offers UEA I conjugated to biotin and a selection of 6 bright and photostable CF® Dyes.

A wheat germ agglutinin (WGA) lectin labeled with Biotium’s CF® Dyes, biotin, or HRP. It is a carbohydrate-binding lectin that has high affinity for sialic acid and N-acetylglucosamine and stains yeast bud scars as well as the cell membrane of gram+ bacteria and mammalian cells.
α-Bungarotoxin
A high affinity inhibitor of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor in the neuromuscular junction. Blocks acetylcholine activity at the postsynaptic membrane.
