Product Description
CHAPS (3-[(3-cholamidopropyl)dimethylammonio]-1-propanesulfonate) is a zwitterionic detergent that is used for protecting the native state of proteins. This detergent is useful for membrane protein solubilization when it is important to maintain protein activity. It is electrically neutral and easily removed by dialysis.
- Zwitterionic detergent
- Solubilizes membranes leaving protein activity intact
- White solid soluble in water
- C32H58N2O7S
