CF®583 and CF®583R are bright red fluorescent dyes with emission around 609 nm and excitation by 561–568 nm lasers. CF®583 is a Cy®3.5 alternative, while CF®583R, a rhodamine-based dye, is a Texas Red® alternative and a strong FRET acceptor with R-PE. Both dyes yield brighter antibody conjugates than similar dyes (Figures 3, 4) and offer excellent water solubility for better bioconjugation and preserved specificity. Available in amine-reactive forms and various conjugates.

Superior Brightness over Cy®3.5
Thanks to its enhanced solubility, CF®583R delivers significantly lower non-specific background than Cy®3.5. In methanol-fixed HeLa cells, staining with CF®583R-conjugated secondary antibody without primary antibody showed minimal background—unlike Cy®3.5, which exhibited high non-specific signal. Choose CF®583R for brighter and more reliable fluorescence.

Superior Performance for STORM Imaging
CF®583R and CF®597R also deliver outstanding dSTORM performance with superior uniformity versus other green-excited dyes. Available as single-labeled secondary antibodies and Mix-n-Stain™ STORM Kits ideal for super-resolution imaging. Explore our unique tools for super-resolution microscopy.
