Product Description
dsRNA Recombinant Monoclonal Mouse Antibody (rJ2) detects double-stranded RNA (dsRNA). This antibody belongs to the Biotium Choice list of select antibodies that have been formulated and validated in-house for optimal performance. This antibody is suitable for use in IHC, IF, ELISA, EMSA, flow cytometry, and dot blot. Each lot is tested to verify that it is RNase-free.
dsRNA Recombinant Monoclonal Mouse Antibody (rJ2) recognizes double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) as long as the helix is at least 40 base pairs in length. Antigen recognition is independent of the RNA sequence or nucleotide composition. The J2 antibody has been validated by numerous publications and is shown to detect naturally occurring dsRNAs, including synthetic dsRNAs such as poly(I)-poly(C) and poly(A)-poly(U). However, in some assays, its affinity for poly(I)-poly(C) is approximately 10-fold lower than for other dsRNA antigens.
Reconstitution: Add nuclease-free dH2O to the vial to dissolve the antibody at 1 mg/mL (200 uL for 200 ug vial or 500 uL for 500 ug vial). Mix gently to dissolve completely. After reconstitution, antibody concentration will be 1 mg/mL in 1X PBS with no BSA or azide.
