Reactive CF® Dyes

CF® Dye alkynes react with azide groups via copper-catalyzed bioorthogonal cycloaddition. Can be used to fluorescently detect or label azide groups on target molecules. CF® Dye alkynes can also be used as building blocks to form fluorescent polymers.

CF® Dyes with a reactive amine group to fluorescently label carboxylic acid groups in proteins and other molecules.

CF® dyes with an aminooxy reactive group are useful for fluorescently labeling aldehyde or ketone groups on target molecules such as polysaccharides, glycoproteins or antibodies.

CF® Dyes with an azide group. Can be used to label or detect alkyne, BCN or cyclooctyne-containing molecules by fluorescence spectroscopy, microscopy or flow cytometry following copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition.

CF® Dyes with a BCN group react with azides via a copper-free bioorthogonal reaction to label target molecules for surface staining of live cells or cell extracts. Membrane-permeant CF® Dye BCN conjugates for intracellular labeling reactions are also available.

Fluorescent CF® dye hydrazides are bright, extremely water-soluble, nontoxic molecules, useful as aldehyde-fixable cell tracers. They can also be used to label aldehyde or ketone groups of polysaccharides, carbohydrates or glycoproteins.

CF® Dye with methyltetrazine reacts with cyclooctene (TCO, methylcyclopropene) labeled molecules via copper-free click chemistry.

CF® dye MTS are fast-reacting, highly selective thiol-reactive derivatives for reversible labeling of thiol groups with fluorescent CF® dyes.

CF® dye picolyl azide derivatives fluorescently label alkyne groups on biomolecules via the standard azide-alkyne cycloaddition, but at low copper concentrations.

CF® Dye SE/TFP esters are amine-reactive fluorescent dyes. They are commonly used to label primary amines of antibodies and other proteins, amine-modified oligonucleotides and other amine-containing molecules.

CF® Dye with TCO (trans-cyclooctene) groups react with tetrazine-labeled molecules via copper-free click chemistry.

Fluorescent CF® Dye tyramides are used for tyramide signal amplification (TSA) for increasing immunofluorescence sensitivity in multicolor immunocytochemistry (ICC), immunohistochemistry (IHC), or in situ hybridization (ISH).

CF® Dye with dibenzocyclooctyne (i.e., DBCO, ADIBO) reacts with azide via copper-free click chemistry by strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC).
