Product Description

CF® Dye Amines can be used to conjugate CF® dyes to carboxylic acids groups in biological molecules. Carboxylic acids can be activated using water soluble carbodiimides to react with amine-functionalized dyes to form a stable amide bond. CF® dyes are Biotium’s line of next-generation fluorescent dyes, which have combined advantages in brightness, photostability, and water solubility compared to other fluorescent dyes. CF® Dye & Biotin SE Protein Labeling Kits

This kit contains everything you need to label antibodies or other proteins with a fluorescent CF® dye succinimidyl ester (CF® dye SE) or biotin succinimidyl ester (biotin SE). Each kit contains reagents for three labeling reactions of up to 1 mg protein per reaction.

    DMSO, Anhydrous

Anhydrous DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide; methyl sulfoxide) is recommended for preparing stock solutions of AM ester dyes, reactive dyes and other related moisture-sensitive products.

    CF® Dye Aminooxy

Aminooxy dyes have an aminooxy reactive group, which can be used to label a target molecule with an aldehyde or ketone group. An aminooxy group readily reacts with an aldehyde or ketone group to form a stable linkage without the use of a reducing agent.

    CF® Dye Succinimidyl Ester

CF® Dye Succinimidyl Esters (SE, also known as NHS esters) are amine-reactive fluorescent dyes. SE dyes are commonly used to label antibodies and other proteins on free amine groups, such as lysine residues.

    EDC (EDAC)

EDC (or EDAC) (1-(3-Dimethylaminopropyl-3-ethylcarbodiimide, hydrochloride)) has recently been found to be very useful for fixing in situ chelators, including the fluorescent ion indicators for histological studies following physiological experiments. EDC is also a widely used reagent to activate carboxy groups for amine coupling.

    CF® Dye Tyramides

Fluorescent CF® dye tyramide conjugates for tyramide signal amplification (TSA). A horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-mediated method for high-density labeling of a target protein or nucleic acid in situ.
